Barnes Family Tree

My grandparents were Joesph Barnes & Kathleen Quinn.

Nanny & Grandad Barnes lived in Hillbrook, which is a small townland about a mile from the village of Coolboy & a couple of miles from Carnew town.

They married in the local church in Coolafancy in 1931 & had 10 children; Nancy, Jim, John, Maggie, Mick & Ned (twins - Ned is my dad!), Paddy, Dolly, George & Joe. Sadly, 2 further children that were born to them died shortly after birth & Mick passed away in 2001. All remaining children are alive today & all have families of their own.
